THE UNIT: The unit comprises of a 25:50 herringbone parlour, DTL with ACR’s. The dairy facility is about 8 years old, and in excellent working order.  The silage clamps/feeding area and new cubicle housing complete the facilities and provide a good working environment and stress free cow flow.

THE DAIRY HERD:  350 Friesian/Holstein cows block calved over 10 weeks from the end of August. Yields are in excess of 7000 litres/cow and the focus of production is margin/litre and overall profit.  The team are involved in the unit as a whole; making the role varied and broad.   The overall livestock unit also has the calves and  bulling heifers housed here for two of the units.
