With the retirement of our Herd Manager we require an experienced person to take up the challenge to continue to produce the excellent results achieved in the previous twenty-two years by Mike Lee on the unit.

The person required will be an enthusiast of this type of system, with previous experience of Block Calving and Grassland management.
Job Description
The farm is situated between Hungerford and Newbury and carries a herd of 220 black and white cows that have been bred for the low-cost system of autumn block calving, self-feed silage and paddock grazing. Cows are milked through a twenty forty Waikato parlour with feeders and Mountpleasant Backing Gate, housing is Cubicles with Sand Beds, all Paddocks are easily accessible with good tracks. This unit is one of the owners two neighbouring units with all calves reared at a central rearing unit.
We offer a good package to include regular time off and a four bed Farmhouse with c/h, d/g on the unit. All amenities including good schools, shops and village Pub are within easy reach.
