This week the Farm Safety Foundation - Yellow Wellies launches its 4th annual #MindYourHead campaign raising awareness about mental health in farming.
Look out for their Facebook posts that will be running every day from Monday 15th - Friday 19th February.
In 2019, they launched their guide, 'The Little Book of Minding your Head'. You can download a copy here.
Here at LKL, we are encouraging everybody to look out for each other and be kind, whether that's making the tea or getting the scraper tractor ready for a colleague.
We highlighted the five steps to mental wellness, which include learning, connecting, giving, staying active and taking notice (see our Farm Safety Focus page for more information).
To help LKL staff stay connected and have fun during these lockdown times, LKL regional managers have been hosting a Wednesday night Zoom quiz - check out the LKL Facebook page for information about the next one.
Don't forget to get outside into nature on your daily walks and maybe take part in the Big Farmland Bird Count this weekend.
The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Association (RABI) has launched some free mental health awareness resources on their website. Their website offers you access to free, anonymous and online mental wellbeing support from any online device. There is support available for both adults and young people under 18. Check out this Youtube video explaining the new service.
