This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring future herd manager or an experienced herdsman looking to develop their career within a well-established grass-based, autumn block-calving system.
The role is with a family-run business for over 40 years, recognised as one of the country’s leading advocates of efficient grass-based dairy farming. You will work as part of a dedicated and supportive team on a highly organised and progressive dairy unit.
The farm includes:
• 335-autumn block-calving cows, bred specifically for a grass-based system
• Modern cubicle housing
• Self-fed grass and maize silage
• 24/48 Waikato milking parlour
• Paddock grazing with excellent track access
• Summer irrigation
