We have a new vacancy for a herdsperson on a family farm near Calne in Wiltshire.
Leading the team you will be responsible for regular milkings, herd health, record keeping and other general work. The ability to foot trim would be an advantage so problem cows can be treated between visits. You will also be involved in regular meeting with the owners, vet and other advisors.
The 240-cow high yielding herd are milked 3x/day through a 14/28 with clusterflush, auto ID, auto drafting and auto footbath. Both breeding and foot trimming are outsourced.
